Her entrepreneurial journey began with the founding of American Nursing Services, Inc. in 1982, a supplemental staffing agency that under her stewardship, expanded to 28 locations before its sale in 2002. PK’s academic background, highlighted by her graduation from the Owner President Management at Harvard Business School, underscores her commitment to learning and professional growth.
PK’s dedication to nursing and ethical business practices is widely acknowledged. She founded the Great 100 Nurses Celebration to honor the contributions of nurses, showcasing her respect for the profession. Her accolades include the Humanitarian of the Year from the Southeast Chapter of the American Red Cross and the American Business Ethics Award from the Society of Financial Service Professionals. Her influence extends beyond healthcare, as seen in her induction into the Junior Achievement Business Hall of Fame and her role as Chairman of the Young Presidents Organization for Louisiana.
